White House on Ukraine’s Counteroffensive: Fighting Continues, but We Will Refrain From Making Judgments

The White House said that “it is obvious that Ukraine has launched counter-offensive operations, but so far refused to assess them.

This was stated at a briefing by the coordinator of the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, reports ” European Truth “.

“Obviously, there are battles during offensive operations, there is no doubt about it. But President Zelensky, not us, should evaluate them. And, of course, it is also up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to talk about losses and achievements in a single day,” he said.

Kirby added that the US will focus on ensuring that “Ukraine can succeed on the battlefield.”

In particular, he confirmed that Washington is preparing new military assistance for Ukraine.

“I think very, very soon you will see some more additional aid packages from the United States,” he said.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the Ukrainian counter-offensive has already been going on for several days and should lead to conditions that will allow Kiev to start negotiations as profitably as possible.
