Russia is concentrating its main efforts on the Kupyansky, Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions. The Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted 15 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel of the occupiers.

Enemy attacks
Tonight, the Russian Federation launched another missile and air strike on Ukraine. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is being specified.
Over the past day, the enemy launched 11 missile and 49 air strikes, carried out 48 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and settlements.
As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, civilians suffered, residential houses, utility and administrative buildings, as well as private vehicles were damaged.
The likelihood of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains very high.
The situation on the front
In the Volyn and Polesye directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
In the Seversky and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy launched an air strike in the area of the Shpil settlement in the Sumy region within a day. He carried out mortar and artillery shelling of more than 20 settlements, in particular, Seredina-Buda, Cossack, Stepnoe, Popovka, Grabovskoe, Sumy region and Basovoe, Vysoka Yaruga, Ternovaya, Volchansk, Kharkov region.
In the Kupyansk direction, our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line. During the day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations south of Masyutovka, Kharkov region. Launched an air strike in the Kislovka area. Kamenka, Novomlynsk, Dvurechnaya, Kupyansk and Kislovka of the Kharkov region were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling of the enemy.
In the Limansky direction during the day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations east of Vesely, Donetsk region. Inflicted air strikes in the areas of Belogorovka, Lugansk region and Seversk, Donetsk region. The settlements of Nevskoye, Belogorovka in the Lugansk region and Torskoye, Disputable and Razdolevka-Donetsk were subjected to artillery shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, our defenders successfully repelled all enemy attacks in the areas of Orekhovo-Vasilovka, Grigorovka and Ivanovsky. Also, the enemy made attempts to restore the lost position northwest of Kurdyumovka, but was not successful.
Inflicted air strikes in the areas of Northern and New York of the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Vasyukovka, Bogdanovka, Chasov Yar, Belaya Gora and Druzhba of the Donetsk region, suffered from enemy artillery shelling.
In the Avdeevka direction, the enemy launched an air strike near the city of Avdeevka. At the same time, the enemy shelled more than 10 settlements, including Avdiivka, Pervomayskoye and Nevelskoye in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the Maryinka area. The enemy shelled more than 10 settlements, including Krasnogorovka, Maryinka and Georgievka in the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtyorsky direction, in the northern part of Staromayorsky, Donetsk region, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to restore the lost position. Inflicted air strikes in the areas of Novomikhailovka, Vremevka, Blagodatny and Makarovka in the Donetsk region. Fired at the settlements of Paraskoveevka, Novomikhailovka, Ugledar, Zolotaya Niva, Velikaya Novoselka and Blagodatnoe.
On the Zaporozhye and Kherson directions, the enemy is concentrating his main efforts on preventing the further advance of our troops. Inflicted air strikes in the areas of Novodarovka, Malaya Tokmachka and Stepnoe of the Zaporozhye region.
He carried out artillery shelling of more than 15 settlements, including Malinovka, Gulyaypole, Volshebnoye, Zaporozhye region; Dudchany, Cossack, Lvov, Ivanovka, Antonovka, Beregovo, Kizomis, Razliv Kherson region and the city of Kherson.
At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, consolidate on the achieved lines, and carry out counter-battery measures.
Enemy losses
Aviation of the Defense Forces over the past day delivered 15 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 1 of which – on the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile system.
During the day, missile and artillery units hit the area of concentration of manpower, 20 artillery weapons in firing positions, 2 air defense systems and 2 EW stations of the invaders.
Tonight, July 17, there were explosions on the Crimean bridge . 2 deaths are known. There are many kilometers of queues at the entrances to the bridge.
