If he wins the 2024 US presidential election, Donald Trump will offer Kiev to “stop” resisting, and threaten the Kremlin with increased military support for Ukraine. The former president said this in an interview with Fox News .

Trump again said he would “make a deal in one day”.

“I know Zelensky very well , and I know Putin very well, and even better . And I have good relations, excellent relations with them,” said the former US president.

“I would say to Zelensky: that’s enough. You must conclude an agreement … I would say to Putin: if you do not conclude an agreement, we will give him (apparently Zelensky. – Ed.) A lot (apparently, weapons. – Ed.). ), more than they ever received if need be,” Trump said.

REFERENCE . The next US presidential election is scheduled for November 5, 2024. The current head of the White House, Joe Biden, and Trump have already announced their intention to participate in the race. Trump’s main rival in the Republican Party is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Trump has repeatedly spoken out against aid to Ukraine, praised Putin and frightened the world with a nuclear war. DeSantis, on the other hand, made controversial statements about the war – at first he called for increased military assistance to Ukraine, but then he called the war a “territorial dispute.” After a flurry of criticism from Republicans, DeSantis called Putin a war criminal and said Ukraine would win.

On July 10, President  Volodymyr Zelensky  said that Trump already had  these 24 hours” , but he did not use them. “We were at war, not a full scale war, but we were at war and I guess he had that time at his disposal, but he must have had some other priorities,” the president said.

  • In August 2022, Trump  said that Ukraine, in order to avoid a full-scale Russian invasion, “could give up Crimea” or get off course towards joining NATO.
  • He also  said that the administration of the current head of the White House,  Joe Biden,  “almost forced” Putin to start a big war against Ukraine.
  • In March 2023, the ex-President of the United States said that helping Ukraine is only in the interest of Europe, and also spoke out against the change of Putin’s regime.
