RTX to Deliver Patriot Missile Components to Romania Under $156M Army Contract

RTX (NYSE: RTX) has secured a $156.2 million contract from the U.S. Army to provide spares, components and ground support equipment for the government of Romania’s Patriot missile defense system.

Army Contracting Command received one bid for the fixed-price-incentive contract via an online solicitation and obligated funds in fiscal 2024 foreign military sales budget at the time of award, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Work will occur in Andover, Maryland, and Romania and is expected to conclude by Oct. 13, 2027.

In 2017, the State Department approved Romania’s request to procure Patriot air defense systems, related support and equipment under a potential $3.9 billion FMS deal.

RTX received a potential $1.2 billion contract in March to provide the Army with Patriot missile system fire units.
