Shell-Branded Mobility Hub Opens in Germany

MaierKorduletsch has opened its first Mobility Hub for trucks in Germany on Paul Group’s Shell site in Passau.

In addition to conventional fuels, the station offers two hydrogen fuel pumps with 350 bar for trucks as well as twelve HPC fast charging points for cars and trucks.

The Mobility Hub is equipped with a 230 kWp photovoltaic system and an intelligent energy management system. This includes sustainable energy generation for operational use and energy trading in the intra-day electricity market.

“The filling station is being redefined: renewable hydrogen and electricity for trucks as well as the classic fuel range under one roof. In this way, we want to make the future of the logistics industry possible today,” said Lorenz Maier, Managing Director of MaierKorduletsch.

The grand opening of the Next Mobility Hub was attended by political representatives such as Hubert Aiwanger, Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy of Bavaria; Jürgen Dupper, Mayor of Passau, and Raimund Kneidinger, District Administrator in the county.
